BBB--> Back to real life+ Korea trip

Hay, its been a long time "again" since I promised that I'll write a blog soon.
Life is getting better and organized than before
As you know I was on vacation for about 7 weeks, 6 weeks in Taiwan and 1 week in Korea.
I couldn't update because of many reasons, mostly because I was too busy
I could spend 12 hours outside without sitting down or getting tired
1 day I even walked on my 8cm heels trough Taipei city...can you imagine that?
well, the only thing I know is that I won't do that again
cuz the streets aren't placed well in some places in Taipei, so I fell...
after I fell, the first thing that I cared about was..."are my new high heels damaged?" and then....after I crossed the street..I noticed that my knee was bleeding xD

The week before I came back to Holland, I went to South Korea with my super young looking aunt who's already 36 xD and her friend
we went with a group, and booked via a travel site.
There were too many kids in our group, and as you know..I really "Don't like" kids
but luckly..the kids in our group were nice and well-behaved( except one little weird kid that wanted to marry my aunt xD)
The whole schedule was planned for 6 days
The first day was flying to Korea and having dinner nearby the hotel
We fly with cathay pacific from Taiwan Taoyuan International airport to Incheon International airport(The best aiport!!!)
took only 2 hours to get there, I couldn't even watch a movie~~

after we arrived there, we took the hotel shuttle bus to the hotel for unloading our bagages and then walked to the restaurant nearby the hotel.
We had squid hot fondue as dinner

Every Korean meal has to serve 4 or more small dishes like kimchi and preserved seaweed or chinese radish
our tour guide told us, usually Korean people have 2 dishes of kimchi served with rice for breakfirst, 4 dishes of kimchi serverd with rice for lunch and 6 dishes of kimchi serverd with rice..hahaha
So their meals are very simple...hot rice is even a "must need"


That night we spend the night at Best Western Hotel in Incheon

The next day, after we had our breakfirst, we took the tourbus to Nami Island...It is located in Chuncheon(mainland) but it's an island?
anyways..this island was named after general Nami

This is the entrance...
in case you're wondering why the white sheets are hanging there...
It's because Korean people believe that the white color can drive out the evil spirit. And it also has a history behind this belief.
Long time ago the first emperor of the Qin dynasty(China) heard that people of the Korean peninsula are long-lived, so he send a general(I forgot his name) to the Korean peninsula to seek for the longlife medicine.
But the general likes the Korean peninsula very much, and wanted to stay there and never go back to China.
After quite a long time, the emperor worried that the general might took the longlife pills for himself, so he send an other group of soldiers to the Korean peninsula to bring the general back.
The general got the message and had an idea....he hanged full of white sheets at the coast, because he knew that white is an unproptious color in China, people only wore white when somebody dies
So before the ship reached the coast, a soldier saw the white sheets, they knew that was a message telling them that the general has died, so they returned back to China without getting on the mainland

The story went on so overwhelmingly popular even to the present, and that's why Korean people believe "white" can drive out the evil spirit.

So that was the story behind the white sheets.
Nami Island was known because of a Korean tv drama called "winter sonata", because they have filmed there.
I haven't saw the drama yet, so I was not really interested in where they exactly have filmed.
The only nice thing about the island was the beautiful trees...wherever you took the picture, it's always beautiful

 And then we went to Chuncheon to have their famous chuncheon chicken?( I don't know the exact translation of it) 춘천닭갈비
it's chicken with cabbage and Korean rice cake.
it was nice and delicious, mostly because of the spicy Korean saus

After we had lunch, we went to "greenland" the Korean spa centre

we went to the famous Korean jjimjilbang=infrared suana
it was amazing...i mean the effect was amazing...I was in there about 20 minutes, more pores are all open...I was sweating like a pig:Z but it was healthy, especally for people like me who doesn't sweat so often....

and ofcourse we had their special clothes on...I always see this outfit in Korean drama's

The next day we went the biggest outlet of Korea and then heading off to make kimchi....
I bought a pair of Nike sneakers only for 30 euro's and MAC's cremesheen gloss in "over indulgence"( I'll write about it in an other blogpost)
for people who don't know what kimchi is....kimchi is chinese cabbage preserved with salt and spice.

 For lunch we had bibimbap...that is vegatables mixed with rice and egg, it's very healthy and delicious
It's the most delicious meal that I've ate in Korea

 After we had lunch, we went tried on Korean traditional clothes

everybody sais that I looked like a Korean...hahahaha
should I be happy about it?

And then...most exciting schdule for the kids...EVERLAND!!!
It's a theme park with a lots of amusement facilities like merry go round, bumper cars, roller coaster and what so ever. It even has its own zoo, we've visited there in a tour bus.

 We had so much fun there, and everybody was exhausted in the bus.

 The next day morning we went to the Suwon hwaseong fortress, its a wall that surrounds the centre of Suwon.

After that we went to Cheongwadae and Gyeongbokgung.
Cheongwadae is the presidential palace of South Korea, and Gyeongbokgung is the palace and it's located near the Cheongwadae..

 a lot of history makes me feel a little bit heavy-laden. But the next schedule totaly cought my mind...because...we are going to Dongdaemun!!! It's the biggest shopping centre in Seoul...it opens from 10:30 AM-05:30 AM!!!! See how that cought my mind? hahahaha

Ofcourse I bought a lot of clothes...well not a lot after I came back...
cuz I only got 4 pieces of clothes and I gave 2 away after I came back from Korea
But I'm sure..If I ever have the chance to live there, I'll definetily go there every week for shopping....cuz it;s the worlds best shopping palace!!! hahaha

Well. time is passing by every quick...we're about to go home..
our last day in Korea was okay but nice!
First we went to Seoul tower and teddy bear museum
we had so much fun n the teddy bear museum...
the teddy bears are sooo cute=D

 And then we went to the cookin' Nanta show

Last but not least.....
The woman street nearby the Ewha Womens university
I bought alot of masks at the Baviphat store, it's a Korean brand of skincare and make up.
AND I finally had the traditional tteok-ppok-kki, it's spicy Korean rice cake
I dreamed to eat it for YEARS.,,,now my dream finally comes true...yummy it;s so delicious

 I think that's about it....
I had fun in Korea...
This trip makes me want to live in Korea and learn the Korean language..
I don't know why I have this obsession with KOREA...
maybe I'll figure it out some day...maybe I was a Korean in my past life?
Ooh god,,,pls let me meet some Korean hot guy, so I can marry him and move to Korea for good...hahhaha
okay just kidding...that's just an imagination and a weird dream of mine!!

Enough about Korea....

Today,
I had this meeting with a teacher from the Free university Amsterdam for admission
And I passed it....so I'm going to the university for sure!!!hahaha
CALL ME THE UNIVERSITY GIRL!! YEAH!

ILS--> Clinique Brush Cleanser

Today I'm gonna review this brush cleanser from Clinique
The reason why I got this is because my old one( from make up forever) was empty and I needed to spare more points for my Clinique VIP card( every TW dollar I spend is one point)
So I got this brush cleanser...cuz I needed it anyway..

This one is 236 ml and it has a pink color, no box
It has a "good"spray on itself...and why am I saying "good"spray..
Cuz the old one.from make up forever will leak when I spray it directly on my brushes, so I needed to put it into a smaller container with a spray.

I can't say too much about this brush cleanser, the only thing I can do is compare this one with my old one from make up forever.

Differences:
Clinique: has foam when you spray it on your brushes, I don't know what it is for, but as long as it doesn't damage your brushes I don't think it bothers me :P
No alcohol smell, that's pretty good
236 ml, 400 NTDollars( about 10 euro's) $13 at Sephora.com

Make up forever: No foam. Alcohol smell is strong. bad spray. Cleans my brushes pretty well.
210 ml, 11,50 euro's( not sure) $17 at Sephora.com

I hope this review gives you an idea when you're looking for brush cleansers!

Long time no see(Again)

As you know(from the title)...I'm in Taiwan(as usual) for the whole summer vacation
I'm writing this blog in case you didn't know where I've been for the past 3-4 weeks

In June, my family(from my mothers side) came from Taiwan to visit us
My sister decided to come back to Holland for good ...to study
They went to Czech Republik and Berlin to travel, I didn't go with them
Cuz I wasn't sure if I passed the final exam, and if I didn't I had to do a retake in the periode when they were in Czech.

It's okay, cuz I've been to Czech once last year April.
After they came back from Czech and Berlin, we went to France and Belgium for the weekend
We went to Mont St. Michel, It's in Normandy
And then we went to Brussels

And here I am...hahah In the other side of the world=D
In Asia=D My HOME



And ofcourse I spend a lot of money....
Just like last year...How am I going to survive in the upcoming 5 weeks?

BTW, I'm going to South Korea to travel in August with my aunt and her friend
We are going for 6 days, I'm so excited...and I'm looking forward to it=D
In the end of August I'll be back in Holland to get ready for U-N-I-V-E-R-S-I-T-Y!!!!

ILS-iPod touch

Maybe you all know, I bought an Ipod Touch

Yeah I did, though I WAS against Apple, I hated iTunes and all those accesories that were specially made for Ipods, not that they aren't cute, it's just unfair for other mp3/4 players brands.
They are a monopoly!
I love my Sony mp4, but there are just too little accesories and products to support that poor thing,
but that's not the main reason why I replaced it.
It's that the one I have, had only of 4GB memories, and that was enough for me in the beginning, but then everytime I add new songs I had to delete my old songs, I hate doing that!!
So I was looking for a new mp3/4 player, I've always been satisfied about the Sony ones, cuz I don't have to use iTunes and that kinda stupid programmes
But I couldn't find any, so I started to look at the Apples.
Then I thought, an Ipod touch is pretty cool, and I saw that one from Yuki too!
First I wanted 32GB, cuz I wanted to make sure that I always have enough space to keep my music.
When I looked at the price...OMG 280Euro's? CONFUSING....
And since there's no 16GB for the 3rd generation, I got 8GB.

since this is a make up blog and I am not really good at introducing/describing electronic accessories so I'll stop here with talking, and show you some pics.

BTW I ordered 2 cases on Ebay, there are all bling bling cristal covers!

Haha I've been playing this for days and nights, it's soo cool
I can watch video's, listen to music, internet, tweet, msn, game and even more on this thing

After using my Ipod touch for 4-5 months I know why people keep buying Apple products...
Simply, it's more fun!
So don't blaim people who buy Apple products, cuz costumers are the most honest ones
They won't spend their money on something less fun when they have the choice and ability to purchase the better ones.

H--> May Haul

This is going to be a haul post...
Since I finished my final exams, I had the time to buy some clothes

I swear....I have no clothes....I mean summer clothes
I left all my summer clothes in Taiwan, so I don't have any here..
Most girls' closet are like "exploded", but mine is like...sharing space with my 40 bags?

haha nevermind..
So I had a shopping spree with Warhien
We both bought a lot of clothes, cuz we said to each other:"We're not going home without buying any clothes!"
I spend like 100 euro's most at the Zara
They have nice pieces this season, as opposed to the H&M
I was suprised that I didn't buy any clothes at the H&M xD

First, this one piece all black dress from Zara
You can wear it in so many ways, with a nice belt or something like that
(sorry for the pics quality, cuz I captured it at night, the lightning wasn't the best and I couldn't turn on the flash=_=)

I already had this shirt in navy, almost black
This one is in baby pink, I really liked the upper sleeve

I got this skirt to combine it with this shirt
This kind of skirts are IN now xD I wasn't sure if I should wear it in here, I mean in Holland
cuz it's a little bit chill here, and when it gets dark, it will be really cold sometimes...

So I wasn't sure if I'm going to wear this skirt..but anyways, it's also nice to have it?!

And then we went to the Vero Moda..I was sure that I could always get something there, cuz Vero Moda is one of my favorite stores in the Netherlands...except they never have airco on in the store in Almere =_= it's always so hot there..! It makes me wonder if they have one?
But yeah, I got this autumn jacket with a discount (20% off)

I was like? Why not...? So I bought it
It's all black, I'm not sure if I can wear it now? I guess not?!

And last but not least
This dress? One piece shirt? I don't know how to define what it is, because of the fact that you can wear it as a dress and as a shirt?

I got this one in XL cuz I want it to look saggy and not very tight or something....

I tried it, and it's very nice? or not? cuz my mom said I looked like a garbage bag=_=

I like the colors, but I since I turned back to the "basics" I don't know if these colors still fit me?
Someday I put on Lapis of Luxury(The blue one) and my mom said it's ugly
But I didn't think that, so I went to work with this color
and Sonia(my boss' wife) said: yielh...are you a whitch or something? I rather see you with red nailpolish than blue!=_=
Then I looked my nails...I did looked like a whitch..the color was weird=_=
But anyways...glad that I didn't bought the normal size...

I got myself this Smashbox eyeshadow trio as I stopped by the ICI Paris XL
They removed the Smashbox counter, which I think it's a shame..cuz I really want to try more Smashbox products..
I was so happy at the time I discovered that our ICI Paris XL in Almere has a Smashbox counter!
But yeah...I did get 2 products of Smashbox with 40% off...
Anyways, I got this eyeshadow trio, it doesn't have a name...what a shame!

The colors are not from the same finish, the dark brown one has a matt finish
, the yellow/gold one is...some thing between MAC's frost and starflash and the pink one is a frost I think...
I love this eyeshadow trio, I've been using this during the 2 weeks that i had my finals..
It's so easy to apply..I mean you don't have to combine mono eyeshadows to make a look, it's already combined, 3 beautiful colors with different finishes. And that's why I keep buying eyeshadow quads/trio's
The pigmentation is perfect, and the consistency is nice too...nicely pressed, not too many fall outs
But I really think you have to take care when you're applying the dark brown one, cuz the powder is very tiny, if you are not using a brush which picks a lot of the product, you'll have brown eyeshadow all over your face xD

I said I've been using this for almost everyday that I even have a dent on the yellow one...I hope I can hit the pan soon...that makes me proud of myself!

Next I got some random stuff...earrings, hairclip etc
And I got the tea tree oil from The Body Shop..it claims to reduce blemishes
But what I've experienced is that it only makes me feel pain=_= When I apply it, it's burning like hell....it doesn't even reduce any blemishes, it even made my blemishes worse!
And the facial brush is too hard...It was like hell to brush it all over my face..
How gently I tried to brush it..it still causes me pain...
I can't not imagine why this facial brush works on other people, and why it's so highly recommended!?

I purchased 2 more brushes from e.l.f.com when it was free shipping, I actually got more last month...
The hypershine glosses claim that they're as good as the Stila ones...
I don't own any stila glosses but the thing I know is: what elf claims is bull shit
These glosses are like crap!!! eventough they only cost me 1,70 euro's each
But still...I'll rather save that money to buy their high quality brushes of 3,96 euro's each than buy these crap=_=
I swear, these brushes are soo nice! Very good quality...synthetic hair, doesn't shed, picks up pigments well...and they're only 3,96 euro's each! What can I say more about these brushes? GO BUY THEM!
I own 7 e.l.f brushes, they're all from their Studio line..
I got a complextion brush, a blush brush, a powder brush(THE BEST brush for foundation), 2 contour brushes, an eyeshadow C brush, a small angled brush
Gonna do a review on them soon..

BBB--> LONG TIME NO SEE!

It's been a really long time ago since i've posted my last blog
Since this is a beauty blog I'm going to keep this short

Well, first, I just finished my very last final exam yesterday
It was a tough time to go through, cause I'm really not the nerdiest nerd in my class
I don't have very good grades so I really have to work on it to pass my final exams
So I started a month before my exams..but honestly study 12 hours a day wasnt going to work
that is impossible
I did some fun things, like shopping....It's also impossible for me to not to shop xD
I'm born to spend money, I'm born to shop!
Now that it's over, I'm free like a bird, and I can start blogging again!
Start from now I have 3 months of vacation
I have a lot of idea's for this blog, so keep follow me!

That's a little bit of it, I guess?

ILS--> The Body Shop Haul

 

Long time no see

Let me do a 'Murmur' first

 

It was Springvacation last week

I didn't do a lot for school, which I should do

But I had the feeling that I need to relax, so I dicided to do nothing, just like always

I watched a new Taiwanese serie called Down with love

It's still on the TV in taiwan, but the DVD version is already released

I like this serie, it's so funny and the story is something new

And about an other serie: Next Stop, Happiness(Autumn's Concerto)

It has become my favorite serie next to "It started with a kiss"

Last week was it's last episode

Happy ending..YAY

And about the vacation, seeing that I didn't do a lot for school, I had to do something,

and that is work, I worked 32hours last week, and just broke the record

I enjoyed working times, because I have a lot of funny colleagues and they are all very nice

Actually

I wasn't planning to work a lot, because I was planning to do a lot for school, which didn't came out...

For what I've earned 32hours of working, I spoiled myself for working hard

I spend 43euro's at The Body Shop and got myself my first Apple- An Ipod Touch

Anyways

My vacation was boring

and now my The Body Shop Haul!!!

I needed a masker that I can use more than once a week

It has to be neutural and for sensitive skin

So I got this one..

Then I saw the SALE

You know...girls can't walk out the shop without looking at the Sale's

So I got 2 products that are in the sale

It smells VERY NICE

 

The color is beautiful..

And a peppermint smoothing pumice foot scrub

 

 And I got a free lipstick
